COMMEMORATIVE WORK
Each piece I make is special to me in it's own way, but some really touch my heart to be able to be the person they chose to do the work. These suspenders fit that bill. This firefighter is a good friend of mine and a "firefighter" in the truest sense of the word. His dad was killed in the line of duty at a working fire in Rhode Island while he was in college here in Kentucky. He asked me to do a commemorative back piece on his suspenders in honor of his father. We came up with a Gamewell box with the box number his dad was called to when he was killed and a banner across the top with "LAST ALARM". He was really pleased with how they turned out and I'm just proud to have been able to have honored his dad's memory in this way. This makes it all worthwhile to me.
