CUSTOM LEATHER SUSPENDERS
Since becoming a fulltime firefighter in 1996, the one thing that I've never been happy with on my fire gear was the fabric suspenders. They were constantly needing to be replaced due to premature wear, hardware malfunction, or the elastic was so stretched out that it was useless anyway. I decided to design a set that would address all these issues and provide a substantially better product. I've limited the hardware to 2 nickel plated buckles and 4 nickel rivets. The rest is all leather and saddle thread. No circular rings to sit on your ribs, no take up straps to let go when your pants get wet, no plastic hardware to break, and NO ELASTIC. My suspenders are all hand-tooled right here in the USA by me, and only me. They are made with 10 ounce leather for long lasting durability (most everybody else uses 7 ounce or less). They will be a natural color (no dye), custom sized to fit YOU unlike the big name brands out there that make only one size and hope it fits. And they'll be coated with a sealer to make them resistant to stains and discoloration. I designed them so that the anchor straps that actually connect to the pants are removable from the suspenders for replacement should they wear out or no longer fit due to gear replacement in the future. This may the last set you'll ever buy. Once we get your measurement, I'll make that the middle hole in the buckle straps and you'll have 3 holes above and 3 below to use for adjustments. The cost is $85.00 plus shipping for basic set and can be customized to suit your needs at a fair price. Please see the "Sizing Info" page for instructions to get your correct measurements. Check the photo albums for some ideas on custom tooling I've done in the past.
SOME CUSTOM SETS I'VE DONE
CUSTOM HELMET FRONTS
My helmet fronts are all hand-tooled and will vary by your needs. I was doing these initially just for chief officers with the gold shields but I can adapt them for any rank and color. This is not your typical, paper thin, patent leather helmet front. It's about a 1/4" thick and holds up very well to interior firefighting. There is no specific template we have to use so we're only limited by imagination. As long as it will fit on the front, it can be tooled there. Price will depend on difficulty of layout, tooling time, and number of fronts ordered. Most have cost between $95 and $170 so far. If you have specific artwork or drawings you'd like to incorporate into the front, just let me know.

RADIO SLINGS
I began to make radio slings in 2004 when I saw some improvements that could be made to those already available on the market. The straps can be custom fitted to any specific length and custom stamped with your name, rank, unit number, etc, above the mic loop. The basic set will be 3 pieces, all black leather (strap, case, and sway strap). with nickel hardware. I'm working on a universal case now that will fit a variety of radios but have designed some custom fit patterns for the Motorola MT1250, the Kenwood TK280, and the Macom 800Mhz. THE COST IS $ 55.00. You can upgrade to brass hardware on all pieces for an additional $10.00 and add a name can be stamped on the strap above the mic loop for an addtional $ 5.00. If you'd prefer a custom color instead of black, or would like the case to be custom tooled, contact me via email at pumper131t@yahoo.com to get an estimate on the cost.
This is my personal radio strap that's about 3 years old now.
